Just spent 3 hours helping my stepfather figure out why our outside unit for the a/c unit had stopped working . A new capacitor and breaker later, we realized it was a wire that had come out from the outside box. It’s 1:40 am my time and I have to be up for work in less than 5 hours. Ugh.

Good on ya for fixing it! Can’t count how many times I’ve saved my family and friends with $20 of contactors, capacit
ors, and/or
breakers. It might be useful to pick up an inexpensive multimeter for next time, but I usually don’t like probing them so much when the power is on.
